Can you believe the holidays are already here? For many of us, guest will soon fill the empty rooms in our house. I’m so excited to put up the rest of our decorations, start baking, and have Christmas music blasting throughout the house. In the meantime I’m so excited our guest room and a five tips to help your guest feel more at home.
Tip 1: Comfort: Make your WiFi password easily accessible. It’s actually really thoughtful! Something else that is thoughtful is supplying an extra phone charger and power strip for plugging in their laptops, hair dryer, steamer, etc.
Tip 2: Bedding: Is your bedding fresh and clean? Do you have enough pillows? Extra blankets? You can find quality home essentials at amazing prices at Kohl’s and stack coupons. I love white bedding because it’s easy to switch out different colored sheets and accessories. My husband refuses to have a pink room, so I figured I might as well turn our guest room into my dream room. These Columbia Cooling Sheets are my absolute favorite and are currently on sale for $59.99! We also have them in our master bedroom but in grey. We matched them with these curtains by The Big One. Another way to make your room feel more cozy is to add textured blankets. The one featured here is from Cuddl Duds and is THE SOFTEST blanket I’ve ever felt.
Tip 3: Snacks and Drinks: Have you ever stayed at a relatives house and are either thirsty or starving? Yeah, me to and it’s awkward to do the tip toed walk down the stairs to the refrigerator. To make things easier, I’ll move the WiFi sign off the acrylic tray and add bottles of water and a little snack container filled with protein bars, cookies, crackers, etc.
Tip 4: Closet Space: I know I’m not the only one that uses the guest closet as extra storage for winter coats, Christmas decor, and other miscellaneous items. Make sure you have hangers for them to hang their clothes on as well as enough storage space to hold their luggage.
Tip 5: Bedside Lamp: It seems like an obvious, right? Sometimes the smallest things get overlooked, so if you don’t have one, definitely add it.
