Before we get into my New Years Goals, I wanted to take a moment and reflect on 2018. There were many highs and lows. The highs were seeing our Ava grow into a toddler, celebrating her first birthday, Sean and I’s second wedding anniversary, traveling, and really launching this blog. I landed some amazing collaborations with Coca Cola, Kohls, and Infantino. The lows were my father being really sick, I mentioned this in my stories a few weeks ago, and being uncertain about what the future holds. I’m at this point where I don’t know what I want to do in life. I know I want to be home more with Ava, but I can’t be a stay at home mom. I thrive on being successful (monetarily), and selfishly, I like buying whatever I want when I want.
I’m excited to see what’s in store for 2019. I really want to push myself this year and have an answer to the missing puzzle piece from 2018. My goals for 2019 include professional, family and personal goals.
Find out, career wise, what I want to do
Cook more at home
Go to the gym at least 2x a week
Get pregnant with Baby #2
Post more home decor content
Keep our house more organized
Set a revenue amount and hit it
Keep track of our finances monthly to make taxes easier
Yes, you read a few of those right! 2019 is hopefully going to answer a lot of questions and prayers. I would love to keep each other accountable! Share your goals in the comments 🙂
It’s family photo season and while it can be quite the task to find outfits, wrangle your kids, and plan everything, isn’t the end result SO worth it? While I use this blog for memories to look back on, I hope I can share some inspiration with y’all! Our friend/photographer Deven takes our yearly photos. You can see last years (here) as well as some tips from her here.
My biggest tip is to look at your home decor. These photos will ultimately be in picture frames around the house or on a gallery wall right? Our house is very bright so we tend to stray towards colors that are light: pinks, blues, creams, whites, etc. If your home decor is more bright and spunky, bust out the hot pink sweaters and bright accessories.
My dress is on sale here for $21 and comes in 5 other styles! The rest of our outfits are below:
Hi Friends, happy Wednesday! This post was such a hit last Spring (which you can see here), so I figured I would round up my favorite Fall trends. Here are some family outfit ideas I put together to give you some inspiration when choosing what to wear and how to put outfits together. All links can be found under each photo as well as some additional outfits that would go well with each look.
THE color of the season!
Finally neutral. There is something classic about a neutral outfit. This is perfect for pictures if you’re wanting to use them for Christmas cards as well.
What’s your favorite style?! Leave it in the comments below.
