Bare Necessities Grand Opening & Review

I have to admit to not being particularly frequent with facials. My skin care regime is pretty meticulous, and I take the time when I can to spend a little more time on a deeper cleanse once or twice a week, but generally I struggle for time and to put myself before work when it comes to heading to a salon for something a little more targeted.  However when Bare Necessities invited me to try the Firm, Plump, Lift! Treatment at their new Tanglewood location, I couldn’t wait!

The Tanglewood is a lovely salon close to The Galleria. Their goal is to make the experience as comfortable as possible, and they certainly did that! After I arrived, my appointment began with a consultation and skin analysis in order for my therapist to help me to find exactly where my skin is currently at, what it’s lacking in and what products and treatments will help me to improve it. We had a chat about my current regime and lifestyle, and any concerns I had skin care wise. I was honest and told her I use a soap/water and the occasional exfoliation.

I had my last facial before Ava was born, so the Firm, Plump, Lift! intrigued me because its meant to detoxify and hydrate for the appearance of fewer fine lines and wrinkles by feeding your skin phytonutrients and antioxidants. I’ve included a full list from the facial service I received:

  • Pear & Poppysead Microderm Polisher: relieves congested skin and helps increase microcirculation
  • Firm Skin Acai Exfoliating Peel: plumps and rejuvenates as well as minimizes fine lines
  • Arctic Berry Peel: deeply exfoliates and decongest pores
  • Blueberry Detox Firming Peel: minimizes pores and detoxifies skin
  • Citrus & Kale Masque: high in antioxidants, increases collagen production

There was slight redness when I left, but was gone within 30 minutes. My skin feels so refreshed and I will defiantly be back!
