Can you believe 2018 is almost over? Christmas is approaching and if you’re like me, your honey-do list is longer than any actual gifts. As this is our long-term house, there are SO MANY projects I want to complete.

One of the first items on my honey-do list is our bathroom. You know that feeling when you go to a spa or hotel and the bathroom is everything you wish for and more? That’s my goal for our master. While I work on finding the perfect hardware and light fixtures, I’ve partnered with Quilted Northern Ultra Plush® to share 6 easy tips for making your bathroom feel like a spa.

1.     Super Soft Toilet Paper

One item I won’t settle for in our bathroom is scratchy or thin toilet paper. Quilted Northern is just really nice toilet paper. Right now, we have Quilted Northern Ultra Plush. It’s 3x more absorbent and 3x thicker than the leading value brand. I purchase ours on Amazon; you can find it here.

2.     Say Goodbye to Clutter

Clutter is by far the number one offender when thinking about a relaxing space. In your bathroom right now, you’ll probably find a plethora of skin care items, makeup, and other personal care items on your counter that haven’t been used in a while or that you’ll never use. My biggest tip is to get rid of those items. Check the expiration dates or donate to a friend or shelter.

3.     Feel the Senses

As we just talked about decluttering, I recommend having two items in your bathroom to help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated: candles and bath salts. Our candles are actually stored in our kitchen, which makes for less clutter in the bathroom, and it’s also a reminder for me to use them in different areas of our house.

4.     Quality Toiletries

Am I the only one that takes the shampoo and conditioner from hotels and spas as souvenirs?! Didn’t think so! Switch out the bulky bottles into travel size toiletries for your sink or bath. Something SO SMALL makes such a huge different when wanting a minimalist appearance.

5.     Get Cozy

Why is it that we immediately wrap ourselves in the provided robe and slippers? Again, I know I can’t be the only one that does this every dang time I visit a hotel or spa. You know why? It’s because they’re SO soft. If you don’t have a quality, thick robe, I recommend putting this on your Christmas list or giving one to a girl friend.

6.     Amazing Towels

The last little tip is so important. Invest in quality towels. If your husband is like mine and uses the “good towels” on everything he shouldn’t, hide the towels from him and use them on yourself as the beauty queen you are!

Bringing the spa experience to your home doesn’t have the break the bank. With a few simple steps, and with the help of Amazon and Quilted Northern, the spa experience is attainable. While my honey-do list may never get done, I’m hoping to complete this bathroom by the end of the year so stay tuned!
