Spring Favorites: For Baby Girls

Hi Friends!

What a week it has been! Do you ever feel like you need a few days off after coming back from a trip to get your life together? Bc that is totally how I feel right now. Over the weekend, Ava didn’t seem like her normal self, and let me just say, the mom instinct is REAL. I took her to the doctor on Monday and turns out, she had pink eye in both eyes and an ear infection…#daycareprobs. No one tells you that seeing your child sick hurts you more than they are probably hurting. We spent all day Tuesday snuggling, which I didn’t mind one bit. All of this to say, I’m a little behind, but my job before anything is being the best mom I can be, so just bear with me while I get my life back in order 🙂

There are SO MANY cute outfits out right now and I’m here to round up from a few of our favorite stores. Today I’m starting with H&M and Nordstrom. One of the questions I get most frequently is how I pair items for Ava into outfits. I’m a BIG believer of buying items that can easily be restyled again and again.

Below each look book, I’ve also included a few other items from each store that I’m currently loving!

H&M

Nordstrom

Tomorrow I’ll be adding on Old Navy and Gap, so come back and check it out 🙂

Also, if there a a store you’d like me to post about, let me know and I’ll round up my favs.

Splurge, Save, Steal

Happy Friday, friends!

Spring is officially upon us which means the sun will grace us with its presence a little longer after this weekend. On my Instastory the other day, I asked whether y’all would like set days for certain items/discussions. While I’m still working on a few days, I figured I’d dedicate Friday to Friday Finds. As Friday is paypay (hayyyyy!), I totally start online browsing around noon. If you’re like me, you love a good deal. One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing something super cute, clicking on it, and then seeing the price be more than my mortgage. Now if you can, you go #girlboss.

All of these items are even reasonable for most budgets. When it comes to shoes, you’re never going to see me talk about a $600 pair, because that’s just not me. It’s always a challenge to narrow down so many adorable trends, so I hope you all enjoyed today’s roundup. If you want me to find affordable versions of your favorite pieces next month, be sure to let me know what they are in the comments!

Have a great weekend sweet girls!

An Every Day Basic Outfit

Top: Cleo Madison | Leggings: Express, (similar here and here) | Booties: Lucky Brand, (similar here)

Is anyone else on the struggle bus after last nights Super Bowl game? I totally vote the day after the Super Bowl should be a holiday! Am I right?!

I had a total mom fail last night and didn’t put anything together, so this morning I was running around making lunch, getting Ava’s bottles ready, getting her diaper bag packed, so early on I determined I’m in need of ALL the coffee today. On days where I’m running late, I put on my favorite basics. The best part is, I look put together even though I literally got dressed in under 5 minutes. #winning

Anyway, I figured since I resort to this look so often, I’d write about it.

  1. Basic Layering Top: When wearing leggings, an important reminder is to always wear tunic length tops…for ya know. One of my favorites is from Cleo Madison. It’s the perfect length and comes in 4 different colors. I’m a sucker for finding a good top and getting it in all the colors. Anyone else do that?!
  2. Leather Leggings: I’ve got a SERIOUS thing for leather leggings outfits these days, if you can’t tell. If you follow me on Instagram & Instagram stories then you know that I sport my leather leggings ALL the time and basically create outfits around them! I find that leggings – and specifically faux leather leggings – are SO flattering, comfortable, and stylish.

  1. Booties: I LOVE wearing black booties with my leather leggings. I think they’re perfect and make my legs look so much longer than they are, because I’m on the shorter side. Another option could be either tan or you could add a pop of color.

Be sure to check out Cleo Madison for other cute basics! They have new arrivals all the time and their clothing is perfect is your’re looking for a little more coverage, especially if you’re running after little ones.

Thank you to Cleo Madison for sponsoring today’s post. All content and opinions are that of my own!

Swimwear Guide: Current Favorites

Click on any of the pictures to shop!

Okay, I know its still freezing outside, but I can’t help but shop for Spring, including new swimsuits. Last year was just an odd year for swimsuits. During the Spring, I was at the point where my belly could have easily been mistaken for eating too many chips and salsa [guilty of that anyway]. One day, I just popped [moms, you know what I mean] and then the belly was large and in charge. I didn’t want to spend a lot on swimwear knowing I wouldn’t be able to fit into this Summer, so I opted for Target. Nothing wrong with Target, but I feel anywhere you go, you at least run into another person in the same suit. Any who, all that to say, this year I am SO EXCITED to shop for new swimwear and take my little one to the pool and get her used to the water. Last night, we booked a quick trip to LA, so so I’m already thinking of things I want to bring. Everything [at least the cute items] always sells out by early April, so I’m actually excited to start buying items now.

I thought I’d round up all the pieces I’ve got my eye on along with my favorite cover-ups, and accessories. PLUS, ALL of these items are [I think] under $50! I hate seeing a swimsuit and then see a $200 price tag….aint no one [besides maybe Beyonce] has time for that.

I’d love to hear some of your fav places to shop for swimwear!
