34 weeks down, 6 (ish) to go! With only six weeks left, I am trying to get as organized as possible. We semi-tackled her nursery this past weekend. We put together her crib, dresser, chair and started putting up decorations. My dad is coming over this weekend to paint her little room. I can’t wait to show you guys a sneak peak once that’s finished.
The next two weeks are packed as we celebrate our first anniversary [eek!!!!] and Sean’s birthday. After that, the true countdown is on. I’ve only done one previous bump date before, but you can read it here.
General Feelings & Thoughts: Fatigue has popped up again. Baby girl doesn’t seem to be fatigued, as she spends a lot of the day dancing around in my stomach. But I’m pooped just about all the time whether I sleep well or not. Everyone says to get sleep now, which I laugh at because I’m making several trips to the bathroom every night and getting increasingly uncomfortable. This pillow helps sometimes, and sometimes it doesn’t. Rolling over isn’t fun [imagine rolling around with a cantaloupe plus extra stuff strapped to your front], so it’s either a workout to roll myself into a new position or stay put and get more uncomfortable. Lots of fun.
At our 32 week appointment, she was already head down, so I feel her legs a lot near my ribs. When I lay down, you can clearly see when she’s moving from one position to the next.
Food cravings/aversions: None really – I just get full really fast now that I’m running out of room in there!
Symptoms: Swelling: It started about a week and a half ago. After my baby shower [I’ll have a separate post on that], I woke up the next morning not able to put on my wedding ring anymore. I’ve also noticed [mostly on the weekend] if I’m super busy and running around, my feet will be swollen at the end of the day.
Contractions/Pings: I have had some pain. Not sure if they are Braxton Hicks contractions since I’ve never felt them before, but I’m definitely noticing them more and more as the weeks progress.
What I’m Looking Forward To: Classes [yes…I’m very late to the game on this one], the Hospital Tour and finishing her nursery. 🙂
For her: We had our baby shower last weekend and let me tell ya…baby girl has a closet FULL of clothes now. I did order these, these, and these from Sweet N Swag who has THE CUTEST moccs. Keep a look out on my Instagram for when these come in 🙂
For her room: We bought the sheets and changing pad cover a couple weeks ago, so I did an amazon haul and started buying the items those actually had to be put on! haha.
For me: A couple weekends ago, we went to Destination Maternity to start buying items for the fourth trimester. I bought several nursing tanks, robe and dress set that I can wear in the hospital, and this nursing dress in violet [it fits like a dream y’all!] They also have a sale going on where if you buy 3 items you get the 4th one free! Such a great deal since I’ll be needing all of these anyway.
See you guys next time!
